Project: Complete Refurbishment of Building Fire Alarm System
This very striking building situated on Lower Thames Street overlooking the River Thames in London, had been the headquarters for HSBC (formerly Midland Bank) for a number of years. The building project called for a complete modernization of all floors.
This in turn called for the design and build of a brand new analogue addressable fire alarm system, consisting of five Morley ZX5E control panels each supplying 5 loops of fire alarm equipment. The entire system was networked together across fifteen landlord and tenant floors. The system was installed and commissioned at different stages as varying sections of Express Newspapers moved in.
The fire alarm system was interface with the vast Building Management System which controls all aspects of the building, from the access control to heating & ventilation through to monitoring the newly installed sprinkler control system also installed by Elecro. Our company maintains all aspects of the fire alarm system within the Northern & Shell Building on a quarterly basis and provides 24hr 365 day emergency cover.
